A YEAR OF BESPOKE EMBROIDERY, WEDDINGS & FESTIVE COMMISSIONS ~ 2025 AT J&M

As 2025 comes to a close, it feels like the perfect moment to reflect on a year shaped by thoughtful briefs, beautiful materials, and the privilege of creating bespoke embroidery for weddings, celebrations, and festive spaces.

From intimate wedding tables to large-scale Christmas commissions, this year has been defined by craftsmanship, collaboration, and the growing demand for truly personal, made-to-order details.

Bespoke Wedding Embroidery

Weddings continue to be at the heart of our work, and 2025 saw a wonderful variety of bespoke commissions. From embroidered linen napkins and monogrammed handkerchiefs to personalised table bows, each piece was designed to reflect the couple’s story and the tone of their celebration.

Many of these projects involved close collaboration with planners, florists, and venues, ensuring that every embroidered detail complemented the wider tablescape. Classic monograms, refined typography, and timeless colour palettes were particularly popular this year, reinforcing a move towards understated luxury and longevity.

Each item was embroidered individually by us here in Kent, allowing us to maintain consistency, precision, and a high level of finish across every order, no matter the scale.

Expanding Our Bow Commissions

Alongside our embroidery work, bespoke velvet bows continued to play a central role throughout 2025. Originally developed for wedding tables and intimate styling, bows have increasingly been commissioned for larger decorative schemes, including venue installations and branded projects.

Working with a range of materials, from velvets to custom satin ribbons, allowed us to create bows that felt both decorative and architectural, adding softness and impact to a space without overpowering it.

Christmas 2025: A Season of Scale and Detail

The Christmas period was particularly significant this year, marking our busiest festive season to date. We produced a wide range of velvet bows and embroidered pieces for private clients, events, and commercial spaces, many of which required larger quantities while maintaining a bespoke, handcrafted feel.

Despite the increased scale, our approach remained unchanged: careful material selection, consistent construction, and meticulous finishing. Every bow and embroidered piece was handled individually, ensuring that quality was never compromised.

Looking Ahead

2025 has been a year of growth, not just in volume, but in the type of work we are proud to take on. From weddings and private commissions to festive installations and branded collaborations, the past year has reinforced the value of thoughtful, well-made details.
