THE NED - BESPOKE BOW COMMISSION

We were delighted to be commissioned by The Chorus Agency to create a series of bespoke velvet and branded satin bows for The Ned, one of London’s most iconic and architecturally rich venues.

Designed specifically for a large-scale festive installation, this project required both precision and scalability, while maintaining the refined, luxurious finish that defines our work.

A Bespoke Design Brief

The brief called for bows that would feel opulent yet considered. Working closely with the creative team, we developed a custom design using deep, rich velvet paired with the client’s own branded satin ribbon.

Each bow was carefully proportioned to ensure consistency across the installation, with attention paid to structure, and finish. The contrast between the soft matte velvet and the smooth sheen of the satin ribbon created depth and visual interest, particularly under the venue’s warm lighting.

Crafted at Scale, Finished by Hand

This was our largest project to date, with 440 bows made by hand, involving the production of several hundred bows within a defined timeframe. Despite the scale, every bow was individually made and finished by hand in our Kent studio, ensuring uniform quality throughout.

Our process balanced efficiency with craftsmanship to deliver a cohesive final result suitable for a landmark London venue.

Designed for Impact

Installed as part of a wider festive scheme, the bows were used to dress the tree in the key focal point within the space, adding softness, texture, and a sense of celebration. The finished installation looked both grand and elegant, enhancing the venue without overwhelming its distinctive character.
